We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive (BDE) to help us acquire new clients and projects. This is a project-based role, ideal for someone who understands the freelance / digital agency landscape, has existing networks or lead-generation skills, and can independently drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and source new business opportunities (leads) — through LinkedIn, cold outreach, freelance platforms (e.g. Upwork), partnerships, networking, etc.
Qualify leads: understand client needs, assess potential, and prioritize opportunities.
Create and deliver compelling proposals, pitches, and business presentations to potential clients.
Negotiate contract terms, pricing and scope in collaboration with internal teams.
Manage the end-to-end sales cycle: from lead outreach → proposal → deal closure → handover to delivery / project teams.
Maintain a sales pipeline and CRM (or similar system) to track leads, opportunities, and deal status.
Report weekly / monthly on KPIs (e.g., number of leads, conversion rate, revenue) and propose improvements.
Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
Collaborate with Grafiqe’s internal teams (tech, design, operations) to align client requirements and to position the right solutions.
Qualifications / Skills Required
Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in a tech / IT / digital services environment.
Experience working on freelance platforms (Upwork, Freelancer, etc.) is a big plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build trust and present professionally.
Strong proposal-writing, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated, independent worker who can drive business without constant supervision.
Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple leads / prospects in parallel.
Familiarity with CRM tools or spreadsheets to manage pipeline and reporting.
Strategic thinking and ability to analyze market opportunities.
