Freelance Business Development Executive (BDE) – Project Based

We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive (BDE) to help us acquire new clients and projects. This is a project-based role, ideal for someone who understands the freelance / digital agency landscape, has existing networks or lead-generation skills, and can independently drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and source new business opportunities (leads) — through LinkedIn, cold outreach, freelance platforms (e.g. Upwork), partnerships, networking, etc. 

  • Qualify leads: understand client needs, assess potential, and prioritize opportunities. 

  • Create and deliver compelling proposals, pitches, and business presentations to potential clients.

  • Negotiate contract terms, pricing and scope in collaboration with internal teams.

  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle: from lead outreach → proposal → deal closure → handover to delivery / project teams.

  • Maintain a sales pipeline and CRM (or similar system) to track leads, opportunities, and deal status.

  • Report weekly / monthly on KPIs (e.g., number of leads, conversion rate, revenue) and propose improvements.

  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Grafiqe’s internal teams (tech, design, operations) to align client requirements and to position the right solutions.

Qualifications / Skills Required
  • Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in a tech / IT / digital services environment.

  • Experience working on freelance platforms (Upwork, Freelancer, etc.) is a big plus. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build trust and present professionally.

  • Strong proposal-writing, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Self-motivated, independent worker who can drive business without constant supervision.

  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple leads / prospects in parallel.

  • Familiarity with CRM tools or spreadsheets to manage pipeline and reporting.

  • Strategic thinking and ability to analyze market opportunities.
